President Pranab Mukherjee on Friday said that there should be no room for hate and intolerance on the campuses of educational institutions and universities.
While speaking at the convocation programme of Mumbai University, Mukherjee said the educational institutions are meant for debate and sharing thoughts of diverse instead of spreading hate and intolerance.
The president said Indians are known for healthy discussions but they never turned intolerant. He said no one can grow if people get involved in the skirmish on religious ground.
Mukherjee said a nation not only represents geographical boundaries but also its culture and views to the world.
