The Noida Authority recently revealed the design to construct the Shaheed Bhagat Singh Smarak theme memorial. The CEO of Noida Authority, Rama Raman announced, "The ideology behind the project is create a place that will remind us of all of the hard work and sacrifices made by Indian freedom fighters like Shaheed Bhagat Singh, to make our nation what it is now".
The establishment will be built in Sector 145 on a plot area of 53,260 sq meters which is approximately about 13.1 acres. This massive area will provide ample space for various activities that can be enjoyed by all at the memorial park. The entire site is designed to rise along the east-west axis which will terminate at the top of the building.
The prototype of the memorial follows a sub-terranean style of architecture. This style of construction is carried forth under the surface of land or underground, almost like a 'cave'.
The flag of India will be hoisted at the entrance of the Shaheed Bhagat Singh Smarak. "The 82 metre high national flag will be a symbolic representation of the integrity and strength of our nation." says Rama Raman
The Shaheed Bhagat Singh Samarak will consist of two amphitheaters open to activities like cultural arts, galas and plays. There will be one contemplation court for light and sound shows while the other will have beautiful displays of water jets and a commemoration wall. These two courts are designed to be connected by a steeped water feature that will lead up to a sub-terranean museum building.
The sub-terranean museum building is modeled to have several features such as a 4D theater, an auditorium with a capacity of 300 people, a cafeteria, an art gallery and a lobby that will display the life of Shaheed Bhagat Singh.
Ramps will be constructed all over the establishment for the benefit of the handicapped people. Pathways will be constructed in a manner that would connect all parts of the complex, making it easier for pedestrians to explore. Ample amount of parking facility is also planned to make it easier for visitors.
