Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath will inaugurate the Noida Metro Aqua Line today from Noida sector 137, as per reports. He will be accompanied by Union Minister Hardeep Singh Puri. He will also travel to the Depot station in Greater Noida. The 29.7-km Aqua Line has 21 stations. The Commissioner of Metro Rail Safety (CMRS) completed the final round of safety inspection of the Noida-Greater Noida Aqua line. Everything was found to be up to the mark barring a few defects, according to reports. The Noida Metro Rail Corporation (NMRC) had inked a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with the Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC), which will assist the NMRC in operating the Aqua Line corridor in the first year. Additionally, this is one of the first Metro lines to become active in the Greater Noida region.

- The Aqua Line, which will have 19 rakes with 4 cars each, will stop at Sectors 76, 101, 81, NSEZ, 83, 137, 142, 143, 144, 145, 146, 147, 148 and Greater Noida's Knowledge Park II, Pari Chowk, Alpha 1, Delta 1, GNIDA Office and Depot metro stations.
- The rail corridor 29.7-km long with a total of 21 stations, of which 15 of them are in Noida and six in Greater Noida.
- Aqua Line will enter Greater Noida and will go through Knowledge Park-II, Pari Chowk, Alpha-1 and Alpha-2, before terminating at Knowledge Park-IV.
- The trains are designed to run at a maximum speed of 80 km per hour with an average speed of 37.5 km per hour.
- Every train is equipped with a passenger information system, a public address system, and an emergency announcement system from the operation control centre. Besides, all the stations are equipped with platform screen doors.
- Travelling one station would cost Rs 10 on an QR-coded ticket and Rs 9 via smart card; 2 km would cost Rs 15 on ticket and Rs 13.50 on smart card; 3 to 6 km would cost Rs 20 via ticket and Rs 18 on smart card; 7 to 9 km would cost Rs 30 on ticket and Rs 27 on smart card.
- Travelling more than 10 stations but less than 16 stations would cost Rs 40 via ticket but Rs 36 via a smart card. Travelling beyond 16 stations would cost Rs 50 via ticket and Rs 45 via a smart card.
- After getting off the Aqua Line, a commuter has to travel a few kilometres to take Delhi Metro's Blue Line at Noida City Centre metro station as the Aqua Line does not directly connect the commuters with Blue Line metro.
- The final and mandatory safety inspection of the corridor was done last month by the Commissioner of Metro Rail Safety (CMRS) which gave its approval to the NMRC for launching commercial operations.
- The 49th battalion of the UP Provincial Armed Constabulary has been entrusted with the responsibility of security on the Aqua Line, while some private security personnel will also be deployed.
