Noida to get new girls inter college soon

Keeping women education in priority, the UP government has decided to build colleges to girls.  The construction of Balika Inter College, an all-girls institution, which was started off in February 2014 by the Noida Authority in Village Hoshiarpur will finish soon. According to the officials, the establishment will be completely constructed by this year in September.

The total land of area allotted for the college plot measures to 11195 sq. metres approximately, with 8303 sq. metres set aside for the main building. The idea of erecting an intermediate college in the village of Hoshiarpur was suggested after the literacy ratios of the city's villages were observed.

The Deputy CEO of Noida Authority, Saumya Srivastava stated, "We are yet to achieve complete literacy in Noida; especially in the rural parts. There are many parents around the village who are skeptical about sending their daughters to school, mainly because the majority of the schools in their area are co-educational. In rural areas, young girls often tend to drop out of school because they feel uncomfortable or suppressed. A girl's intermediate college in the village will assure the parents that their children are safe and motivate the girls to pursue education."

The college establishment is designed to have around 47 classrooms, four fully equipped laboratories and two libraries. Apart from this, it also includes the features of a multi-purpose hall, a medical care room, administration areas and sixteen toilet blocks.
