A Delhi Metropolitan court on Wednesday issued a non-bailable warrant (NBW) against Ashish Pandey, son of a former BSP MP for allegedly waving a gun at a couple and threatening them outside a five-star hotel in the national capital.
The NBW against Ashish, son of from BSP MP Rakesh Pandey and brother a sitting Uttar Pradesh MLA Ritesh Pandey, was issued on the plea of Delhi police which had registered an FIR against him.

The police told Metropolitan Magistrate Ambika Singh, who issued the NBW, that it had obtained the CCTV footage of the incident and identified the accused, a native of Uttar Pradesh capital Lucknow.
“A police team was dispatched at the address of the alleged and it has been informed that the team conducted raid at the said address but the accused was not found,” the police said, adding that the accused had absconded.
Seeking the non-bailable warrant against Ashish, the police argued that he was “deliberately evading the process of law and no clue about the present whereabouts of alleged came on record and further raids are being conducted at the possible hideouts of the alleged person.”
A video of the incident showing the sheer arrogance of power and egregious "VIP culture" went viral on social media. Following this, the Delhi police came into action and registered an FIR under the Arms Act and several sections of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) against the accused.
