Indian Railways to give 50% refund on cancellation of Tatkal ticket

Indian Railway passengers will get 50 per cent return on the cancellation of Tatkal tickets from July 1. In a  major relief to millions of passengers, Indian Railways will now allow refund on both online and counter tickets as well. 

Till now, no refund was given on cancellation of tickets booked under Tatkal service. Tatkal tickets for AC coaches can be booked between 10 AM to 11 AM a day before the journey, whereas sleeper coach tatkal bookings open between 11 AM and 12 noon a day ahead.
