After the success of first phase of Delhi government’s ambitious Odd-Even formula, the AAP govt is all set to roll out the second sting. According the Kejriwal govt, the second phase for private cars will be implemented between April 15 and 30.

Odd Even Formula: No school buses to be used this time

After the success of first phase of Delhi government’s ambitious Odd-Even formula, the AAP govt is all set to roll out the second sting. According the Kejriwal govt, the second phase for private cars will be implemented between April 15 and 30.

This time the state government has decided not to use school buses, which were used last time.  Instead of school buses, Paryavaran Buses will run on Delhi roads, where 50 pc seats will be reserved for women.

There will be marshals in each buses for safety.Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal had claimed that decision to restart the scheme is result of a majority of Delhi residents voting for bringing back the scheme.

The government had initiated phone calls, asked people to submit their feedback on an email address, and organised Jan Sabhas to gather opinion on bringing back the rule. According to AAP, 81 pc of residents wanted the second phase of Odd-Even rule in the national capital.  

The odd-even rule was first implemented in Delhi on January 1 to 15, to lower the alarming air pollution levels in the capital.
