Odisha Police claims to have arrested seven persons having alliance with Peoples’ Liberation Front of India (PLFI) from Kukudabahal forest area in Sundergarh district on Sunday. Several arms and ammunition recovered from the arrested.
PLFI is in a fratricidal war with CPI-Maoists in at least 14 districts in Jharkhand and three districts of Odisha for area dominance.
Police claims have arrested two commander ranks cadres of the PLFI. The arrested have been identified as PLFI zonal committee member Arjun Rana and Koida-Barbil area commander Karan Sai.

Police said that the arrested two PLFI leaders were wanted by Odisha and Jharkhand Police for several incidents including murder, loots and attack on security forces.

Sundergarh superintendent of police (SP) Pinak Mishra said, “A carbine, 9mm pistol, a double barrel rifle and 50 rounds of ammunition were seized from the arrested.
