Officers confirm death of 38 children in Bareilly hospital in month of August

Thirty-eight children have died in Bareilly district hospital in a month’s time. The news has created ripples in the political circles of Lucknow.

Top officials had sought death record of children from the hospital’s administration. After confirmation, the officers informed the top authorities about the children deaths in the Bareilly hospital.

The officers have cited different reasons for the deaths of children. Most of deaths include infants.

Earlier in August, at least, 30 kids died at Gorakhpur's BRD medical college in a span of 48 hours after the liquid oxygen supply was cut off over non-payment of the bills.
