A hit and and run case in Pune’s Bhosari area has revealed how inhuman people are becoming. In the utmost shocking incident, a young software engineer hit by a speeding car was lying in pool of blood, while he was seeking for immediate help, a large number of people surrounded him making his video or taking pictures instead of helping him.
The deceased was identified as Satish Prabhakar Mete from Aurangabad and was working in a private firm in Pune.
The 25-year-old engineer was hit by a car on Wednesday late.
The ill-fated victim got help from a dentist who was passing by, but help came in too late. The doctors declared Mete being brought dead and gave the reason excessive bleeding.
“Had people around, taken him to hospital immediately after accident, his life could have been saved,” said Kartiraj Kate, a dentist, who had stopped in curiosity and transported the victim to a local hospital, to TOI.
Recalling the incident the dentist said, “I notice a man lying in a pool of blood. He was severely injured and bleeding. The crowd was busy taking videos or clipping his photograph on their mobile phone.”
He added, “The man was conscious and moving. I immediately stopped an autorikshaw and took him to Yashwantrao Chavan Memorial Hospital. I tried giving him CPR to save him on the way to hospital but he had stopped responding.”
