As many as 122 children who had gone missing from Kota and Bundi districts, have been rescued under an ongoing special drive, 'Operation Muskan III', officials have told.

They also told that many of these children have been reunited with their families under the moth-long initiative, they told.

In-charge of the anti-human trafficking cell in the district, Dharmraj Singh Ranawat told that as many as 70 minors have been rescued in Kota, out of whom 42 were working as labourers.

In Bundi, 43 children have been rescued, said in-charge of the district's anti-human trafficking cell Kaniz Fatima.

She said 11-year-old Pooja and her brother (8) were allegedly forced to work as bonded labourers for over a year by a woman identified as Suman Sharma (60).

The boy was rescued on July 22 from Ramganjbalaji after he managed to flee Sharma's home. Based on his information, officials of the anti-human trafficking cell rescued his sister and arrested the accused woman, Fatima said, adding the two siblings were reunited with their mother.

The accused was on Monday produced before a local court that sent her to judicial custody, she said.

'Operation Muskan III' started on July 1 across Rajasthan to rescue children who had either gone missing or fled home.
