18 yo Bilal Dar mentioned in PM's Mann Ki Baat

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday delivered his monthly radio broadcast to the nation via All India Radio. Apart from others, one of the main point was that today was the third annivarsary of the popular show. 

The PM congratulated the media in spreading the positive aspects of the clean India mission called Swachh Bharat Abhiyan. In perticular PM Modi congratulated 18 year old Kashmiri youth Bilal Dar who earns a meagre living by ragpicking and has been made the brand ambassador by the Srinagar Municipal Corporation. 

Bilal Dar who is a resident of J&K's Bandipora was overwhelmed when he found his name being mentioned in the PM's address to the nation. 
Speaking to the media an excited Bilal Dar acknowledged his mention in the Mann Ki Baat programme and requested the PM to help him find a job since he is the only earning member of the family. 

According to reports from Hindustan Times Bilal picked all kinds of plastic trash from the Wular Lake and used to sell it at Rs 150-200 per day. His dedication is noticed by the Srinagar Municipal Corporation and is given an uniform and vehicle to spread awareness.
