The controversy surrounding Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s historical drama Padmavati does not seem to die down too soon.

Aparna Yadav, daughter-in-law of Samajwadi Party leader Mulayam Singh Yadav performed to the tune of the Ghoomar on Saturday which has stirred up a fresh controversy.

Aparna Yadav danced at a family occasion on the engagement ceremony of her brother Aman Bisht at a five-star hotel in Lucknow.

The video that has gone viral on social media has raised the eyebrows of those who have been at the forefront to oppose the release of the flick.

Meanwhile, Karni Sena has criticized the move of Aparna Yadav saying that it is unfortunate that a member of a political family is behaving in such a way.

Aparna Yadav is publicly known as someone who speaks her mind. She also contested the Lucknow Cantt seat in the UP assembly elections that concluded in the month of February-March.

BJP governments in the states of Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan, Gujarat, Bihar, and Punjab has so far objected the release of the film.
