Union Defence minister Arun Jaitley dismissed Pakistan’s denial of its involvement in beheading of two Indian soldiers in the Krishna Ghati of Poonch in Jammu and Kashmir, saying that it had ‘no credibility’.

The minister blamed the neighbour for its active participation in the barbaric act, alleging that the cover fire provided by the Pakistani Army paved way for its troops to execute the misdeed.

While talking to media, the defence minister said it cannot be possible without the indulgence of Pakistani Army to sneak their force in Indian territory.

Earlier, Pakistani high commissioner Abdul Basit on Wednesday summoned by the ministry of external affairs in connection with the beheading of two Indian soldiers by Pak forces.

The external affairs ministry informed that Basit was called in by foreign secretary S Jaishankar to convey India's strong views on the incident.

The Indian Director General of Military Operations (DGMO) Lt Gen A K Bhatt had conveyed to his Pakistan counterpart that such a dastardly and inhuman act was beyond any norms of civility and merits unequivocal condemnation and response.
