Escalating the tension between Pakistan and India bilateral relationship, gunfight again started at Wangam (Shopian, J&K) between 62-RR, police, in which two army personnel got injured,and one terrorist killed. The operation ended at 7:17 AM on Monday morning. Injured soldiers have been evacuated and their condition is said to be stable.
Hizbul Mujahideen terrorist was killed and two army personnel were injured in an encounter in south Kashmir's Shopian district, police informed. "An encounter broke out between security forces and militants at Wangam in Shopian after the security forces launched a search operation following specific intelligence inputs," a police official said. In the gun battle, one militant identified as Sadam Hussain Mir, a resident of Chatripora Shopian, belonging to Hizbul Mujahideen, was killed, the official said.
Security forces have recovered one assault rifle, five AK47 magazines, 119 AK 47 rounds and one hand grenade, the official said.

On Sunday also, two army jawans were killed and three others - two soldiers and a woman -- were injured as Pakistani army opened fire in a bid to facilitate two infiltration bids along the Line of Control (LoC) in Krishna Ghati and Poonch sectors of Poonch district.
The Indian army said that while the infiltration bids were foiled, it has also inflicted heavy damage to several Pakistani posts across the Line of Control in Poonch sector. Two infiltration bids assisted by Pakistan ceasefire violation was foiled in Krishna Ghati sector of Poonch.
The Army foiled two infiltration bids on the intervening night of November 5, 6 along Line of Control (LoC) in Krishna Ghati Sector.
