Jinnah House in Mumbai a Government of India property: MHA

The Jinnah House in South Mumbai is a property of the Government of India, says Union Minister of State for Home Hansraj Gangaram Ahir

The Jinnah House in South Mumbai is a property of the Government of India and the question of disposing it does not arise, Union Minister of State for Home Hansraj Gangaram Ahir informed the House on Wednesday.

The sea facing bungalow that once belonged to Pakistan founder Mohammad Ali Jinnah does not come under the purview of the Enemy Property Act and the house is under the administration of the Evacuee Property Act, 1950, the minister said in a written reply to a question in the Lok Sabha.
