The outgoing Pakistan High Commissioner Abdul Basit on Monday met Chinese Ambassador to India Luo Zhaohui on 90th anniversary of Chinese People’s Liberation Army (PLA).
A week ago, Basit had met Chinese and Bhutan envoys in the national capital. The meetings were not taken in good taste by the South block.
Sources had said that both meetings were held on the request of Abdul Basit.
Basit had sought early retirement and his request was accepted by former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif.
