Pakistan is planning something big along the Line of Control (LoC) after the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA) meeting in New York, India Today said in a report. According to the report, the Pakistan Army with Jamat-ul-al-Hadis has trained more than 3000-4000 civilian youth in Rawalpindi to violate the LoC in the first week of October.
The report states that Pakistan is using PoK civilians so that if Indian security forces target them, Islamabad can raise the issue of human rights violations once again.
The report comes days after satellite images revealed that around 250 terrorists have reached the launchpads constructed near the Line of Control in Pakistan Occupied Kashmir. These terrorists were moved back deep inside Pakistani territory during Imran Khan’s US visit.
But some report claimed that specific intel inputs and satellite images show the terrorists have returned to the camps near the Line of Control. The report comes at a time when there is a spike in intrusion activities along the border areas. The rise in the cross-border terror activities was also confirmed by the Indian Army.
It should be noted that the Line of Control had witnessed a relatively calmer time after the Balakot airstrikes. An earlier report by The Indian Express had said that the impact of the Indian Air Force’s daring non-military airstrikes inside Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa’s Balakot was audible on the Line of Control. Pakistan had resorted to use of low-calibre weapons during the cross-border firing.
According to a report by the Indian Express, the Pakistan Army was avoiding using big guns during the ceasefire violations. Not just the high-calibre weapons, the overall ceasefire violations had also seen a major drop. But the situation has changed now with terrorists trying to disturb the relative lull on the Line of Control.
