New Delhi:

Amid ongoing tension between India and Pakistan over Kashmir, latest media reports say that the Pakistan Army is using very High Frequency radio stations to send signals to the terrorists and terror groups in the Valley. According to an IANS report, Pakistan is using its national anthem ‘Qaumi Taranah’ to transmit secret codes to the terrorists. The anthem was officially adopted by Pakistan in August,1954. The report says that the intelligence inputs show that the codes used by Pakistan for the terrorists are: 66/88 for Jaish-e-Mohammed, A3 for Lashkar-e-Toiba and D9 for Al Badr. The Pakistan Army’s Signal Corp is carrying out this task, the IANS report said. The report added that the radio stations in the Pakistan Occupied Kashmir have been shifted closer to the Line of Control.

Since the August 5 lockdown, which came into force in Jammu and Kashmir after the abrogation of Article 370, there have been several instances of ‘Qaumi Taranah’ being played by the Pakistani radio stations. Now, the security agencies say that the anthem was used for sending signals with secret codes. These codes are being used by the terror groups to take instructions from their handlers sitting across the border.

Prior to this, the Indian Army on Monday had shared a video of a failed infiltration attempt by a squad of Pakistan's Border Action Team (BAT) along the LoC in Keran sector in Jammu and Kashmir on the intervening night of July 31-August 1. In the about two-minute video, at least four bodies could be seen, which the Army sources said, were of Pakistani intruders.

The Army had earlier said five to seven Pakistani intruders were killed when it foiled the attempt by the Pakistani BAT team. The BAT generally comprises special forces personnel of the Pakistani Army and terrorists. At least four bodies, possibly of Pakistan Army's Special Service Group (SSG) commandos or terrorists, were seen in close proximity of an Indian post in the sector, the sources said.
