Pakistan violates ceasefire in Poonch, Rajouri districts

Pakistan violates ceasefire in Poonch, Rajouri districts

Pakistan once again violated the ceasefire along the Line of Control in Poonch and Rajouri districts of Jammu and Kashmir on Friday.

According to reports, Pakistan initiated unprovoked ceasefire violation with the firing of small arms and shelling with mortars along Line of Control in Mankote, Krishna Ghati Sector, District Poonch and Nowshera Sector, District Rajouri.

The Indian Army is giving a befitting reply. No death or injury has been reported. 

Earlier on Monday, a civilian was injured in Jammu and Kashmir's Rajouri district after Pakistan resorted to ceasefire violation on the Line of Control (LoC).

The Indian Army has said that Pakistan has violated ceasefire on the LoC and the international border in Jammu and Kashmir 1,248 times so far this year.

On Monday, the Pakistan Army resorted to unprovoked shelling and firing at Indian positions near the LoC in Nowshera sector. 

The injured civilian was identified as Ram Swaroop. He was shifted to Nowshera hospital.
