Parliament Winter Session LIVE: Parliament Winter Session LIVE: Both houses of Parliament witnessed ruckus on Tuesday as opposition leaders raised various issues. In Lok Sabha, More than 20 members from the Congress and the National Conference trooped into the Well of the House during the Question Hour even as Speaker Om Birla asked them repeatedly to go back to their seats. Congress had given an adjournment motion on the withdrawal of Special Protection Group (SPG) cover to Congress chief Sonia Gandhi and former party president Rahul Gandhi. But it was rejected by Speaker Om Birla. Congress leader Adhir Ranjan Chowdhury then raised the issue of withdrawal of SPG security cover to the Gandhi family, but the government said he cannot raise the matter in Zero Hour as he had not given a notice for the same. The Upper House was adjourned till 2 pm amid uproar over JNU protests and situation in Jammu and Kashmir.

Opposition leaders met Rajya Sabha Chairman Venkaiah Naidu today seeking discussion on Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU) protest. Opposition leaders to continue raising the matter once the house reconvenes at 2 pm.

The Parliamentary Standing Committee on Information Technology to meet tomorrow to discuss issues of invasion of privacy and WhatsApp.

Earlier, Congress leader Adhir Ranjan Chowdhury raised the issue of withdrawl of SPG cover from Sonia and Rahul Gandhi. "Sonia Gandhi ji & Rahul Gandhi ji are not normal protectees. Vajpayee ji had allowed Special Protection Group (SPG) protection for the Gandhi family. From 1991-2019, NDA came to power twice but their SPG cover was never removed," he said.
