In order to proceed investigations with more precision NIA has approached CBI - the nodal agency for the Interpol in India – to issue Blue and Black corner notices for additional information about the terrorists killed in Pathankot from Pakistan.
Blue corner notices are issued in order to collect additional information about a person’s identity or activities in relation to a crime. While, Black corner notices are issued for member countries claim bodies.
Pakistan, on the other hand, submitted its interim report to India mentioning found mobile numbers are not registered in their county. However, NIA recovered another mobile phone, binaculour, a magazine of AK-47 rifle from encounter site in Pathankot.

NIA had issued summons to Salwinder Singh, who is at present Assistant Commandant of 75th battalion of Punjab Armed Police, to appear before the agency for thorough questioning as there were some discrepancies in his statement to NIA and Punjab Police.
