The per capita income of Mizoram witnessed an increase of 11.27 per cent at Rs 95,317 in 2015-16 from Rs 85,659 in 2014-2015, according to the Economic Survey laid in the state assembly on Monday.
The Economic Survey was laid in the assembly by Finance Minister Lalsawta.
Mizoram’s annual inflation rate (provisional as of December 2016) on point to point basis for Mizoram was 0.24 per cent against the all India inflation rate of 3.41 per cent, the Survey said.
The decrease in the rate of inflation is due to the corresponding fall in the all India inflation rate which occurred as a result of sharp fall in the prices of of vegetable and paddy since July, 2016.
