PM Narendra Modi in his address to nation scrapped Rs 500 and Rs 1,000 bank notes but with ATMs closed for next two days and Banks being shut on November 9, It will really become a crunch of a situation is a case of urgent need or emergency.
But to the relief of many PM Modi also provided exceptions and easy ways during his speech for an urgent condition, which may arise till the banks reopen and exchange of notes begins.
Here is a list of places which will accept Rs 500 and Rs 1,000 bank notes for the next 72 hours:
# Government hospitals, medical stores with doctor's prescription.
# Train ticket counters of Railways and while buying bus tickets on government bus stops.
# Petrol, diesel, and CNG stations run by public sector companies.
# Milk booths and crematoriums and Shav Grah
# Cooperative shops, Kendriya Bhandar, ration shops, Safal shops and dairies recognised by the state government.
# International airports which will be equipped with the facility of exchanging the old notes for foreign tourists and all those going to foreign countries up to a limit of Rs 5000.
