Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday attacked Akhilesh Yadav led Samajwadi Party in his poll rally in Fatehpur. He accused SP government of playing the politics of religion and caste discrimination.
The Prime Minister said, “If a village has a graveyard it should also have a cremation ground. If there’s electricity on Ramzan, it should also be there on Diwali. There must be bijli(power) both on Eid and Holi... There should be no discrimination”.
PM asked people to vote for BJP as his party believes in Sabka Sath, Sabka Vikas. We do not believe in benefiting people on the grounds of caste & religion.
However, his Eid statement stirred controversy and Samajwadi Party spokesperson Rajendra Chaudhary reverted by saying PM Modi has been befooling public and playing vote bank politics. Chaudhary also went a step ahead as he called PM Modi and Amit Shah ‘Terrorists’.
