PM Modi chairs CCS meeting to review security situation across border

In the aftermath of the surgical strikes by Indian Army last Thursday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Wednesday chaired a high-level Cabinet Committee on Security (CCS) meeting to review the security situation across the border and deliberate over release of surgical strike video.

The meeting was aimed at discussing the strategies to tackle the continuous ceasefire violation and attacks that have happened in the wake of India’s surgical strike.

Indian Army conducted surgical strikes on night of September 28 and 29 on terror launch pads across the LoC.

Tensions between India and Pakistan are at the highest level since the surgical strike. The meeting was attended by top brass including Defence Chiefs, NSA Ajit Doval, Union Home Minister amongst many others.

According to sources, the video footage of surgical strikes was also discussed in the meeting. It was reiterated that no deicison would be taken under any pressure on the same.
