PM Modi congratulates Theresa May on taking over as the new UK PM

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday congratulated Theresa May for being appointed as the new Prime Minister of United Kingdom. PM Modi also said that he is looking forward to work with her for stronger bilateral ties.

He also praised the outgoing Prime Minister David Cameron, saying he had contributed significantly instrengthening the India-UK ties.

59-year-old May on Wednesday became Britain's second woman Prime Minister after Margaret Thatcher.
