PM Modi in Bengaluru: Congress leaders supporting those seeking ‘Azadi’ in Kashmir is an insult to our soldiers

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday lashed out at Congress leader P Chidambaram over his “greater autonomy “ remark, saying that why Congress leaders are lending their voice to those who want "Azadi in Kashmir".

While addressing a gathering at the Dashamah Soundarya Lahari Parayanotsava Mahasarmapane in Bengaluru, he said Congress leader’s statement on Kashmir clearly shows how the party feels on surgical strikes and bravery of Indian Army.

He said people, who ruled the country for years, took suddenly U-turn and started making statements shamefully.

“They (Congress) are echoing with those who are seeking Azadi in Kashmir,” he said.

Modi said he would not compromise with the nation’s sovereignty. He said Congress leaders supporting those seeking ‘Azadi’ in Kashmir is an insult to Indian soldiers.
