Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday lashed out at Congress leader P Chidambaram over his â€œgreater autonomy â€œ remark, saying that why Congress leaders are lending their voice to those who want "Azadi in Kashmir".
While addressing a gathering at the Dashamah Soundarya Lahari Parayanotsava Mahasarmapane in Bengaluru, he said Congress leaderâ€™s statement on Kashmir clearly shows how the party feels on surgical strikes and bravery of Indian Army.
He said people, who ruled the country for years, took suddenly U-turn and started making statements shamefully.

Modi said he would not compromise with the nationâ€™s sovereignty. He said Congress leaders supporting those seeking â€˜Azadiâ€™ in Kashmir is an insult to Indian soldiers.Â
