Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday acknowledged the hard work of countless workers on Labour Day. He said he saluted all those workers who are contributing in nation's progress.
The Prime Minister wrote on Twitter that he saluted the determination and hard work of countless workers on Labour Day who are contributing in the progress of the country.
Punjab Chief Minister Amarinder Singh had greeted the labour and working class in the state on Labour Day, which symbolises the historic struggle of the labourers globally.

Amarinder had said in a message urged the workers and labourers to mark the occasion with the pledge to fight for and protect their rights.
"Let us not simply observe the occasion for the sake of propriety. Let us vow to imbue the spirit of the day into our systems to safeguard the rights of the workers and labourers, he had said.
