Prime Minister Narendra Modi arrived in London on Wednesday as part of his four-day visit to the United Kingdom. Modi is set to have a jam-packed Wednesday with a spree of bilaterals meets all through the day.
Modi held bilateral talks with his British counterpart Theresa May ahead of Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting.
As part of his visit, the Indian PM shall attend a special tech event hosted for him by Prince Charles. This event will showcase UK-India tech collaborations.Â
UK Foreign Secretary Boris Johnson received Modi at the Heathrow airport here. Johnson said he was "excited" about the growing India-UK bilateral trade and that the visit will help build on "huge economic advantages".
Prince Charles will arrive at the event venue in a Tata electric Jaguar. Modi would be participating in the 885th birth anniversary of 12th-century social reformer Basaveshwara in the London Borough of Lambeth on April 18.Â
On the evening of April 18, Modi would attend a dinner hosted by Theresa May. Also, as many as 1,500 NRIs would have the opportunity to ask questions to Modi at a special event titled as #BharatKiBaatSabkeSaath to be streamed live on TV on April 18 night.
