Police seized fake notes amounting to Rs 2 lakhs in fake Rs 2000 new currency denomination in Chhatarpur's Lavkushnagar, in Madhya Pradesh on Thursday.

Police seized fake notes amounting to Rs 2 lakhs in fake Rs 2000 new currency denomination in Chhatarpur's Lavkushnagar, in Madhya Pradesh on Thursday. 

The police have also arrested two persons for colour printing of the currency notes. The accused with the help of a Colour printer were printing fake Rs 2000 new notes.

Income Tax and police have been on vigil after November 8, when Prime Minister Narendra Modi announced to demonetised Rs 500 and Rs 1000 currency notes, in a move to tighten the noose on black money problem and counterfeit currency in the country.
