Ryan International School reopened on Monday 10 days after seven-year-old Pradyuman Thakur was found murdered only to be closed again for at least for four more days.
Deputy Commissioner of Gurugram Vinay Pratap Singh said, “The school will be closed till Friday. The school will reopen on September 25 (Monday).”
He added that till that the administration will take care of safety concerns.
As the school reopened after a gap of 10 days of the gruesome murder of the seven-year-old student, only 4 of Pradyuman’s classmates came to attend classes. Two of his classmates had come with their parents to get their names striked from the class rolls.
Earlier in the day Pradyuman’s father, Varun Chandra Thakur, had showed concern on the reopening of the school as he believed evidence can be tampered or erased.
However, Singh earlier in the day claimed that the entire crime scene had been sanitised so that none of the evidences get destroyed.
Singh has been appointed as the administrator for the Ryan International School by the Haryana Government. The government has suspended the school management after the murder came to surface.
Pradyuman, was found lying in pool of blood with slit throat outside a washroom in the school campus only after an hour his father dropped him to school on September 8. Gurugram Police have arrested one Ashok Kumar, conductor of one of the school buses, in connection to the murder.
