NDA candidate for the post of next President of India Ram Nath Kovind filed nomination papers in Parliament on Friday. Prime Minister Narendra Modi acted as his first proposer and 20 chief ministers of various BJP-ruled states marked their support by presence during nomination filing process. 

Former Bihar Governor Kovind thanked his supporters and said he will try to maintain dignity of the post.

Here are six things NDA presidential nominee said after filing nomination:

# In our country Constitution of India is supreme. 

# We have to uphold the values enshrined in our Constitution.
