RJD supremo Lalu Prasad Yadav on Thursday urged Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar to reconsider his party’s decision to support NDA’s pick Ram Nath Kovind for presidential poll. He said it would be a huge mistake if the chief minister does not give his second thought on the crucial decision.
While talking to reporters, Lalu said he has never compromised with his ideology and would always work to strengthen the secular forces in the country. He said he has organized an Iftar party in Patna on Friday, and would urge him.
Lalu said Nitish had called him and told that supporting Kovind’s candidature was his personal decision. He further added that he would ask him to reconsider his decision.
