India and Tajikistan will work on trade and transit linkages through Chabahar Port in Iran, says PM Modi

Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Tajikistan President Emomali Rahmon on Saturday issued a joint statement in Delhi.

#We (India and Tajikistan) will work on trade and transit linkages through Chabahar Port in Iran

#India and Tajikistan enjoy a rewarding partnership in capacity and institution-building

#President and I agreed that peace in Afghanistan is very important for the region

#President and I agreed on the need to increase the scope & scale of our economic engagement especially trade and investment traffic

#President Rahmon and I had fruitful discussions earlier today
