Pulwama Attack: Asaduddin Owaisi calls Masood Azhar disciple of devil

The All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen (AIMIM) president Asaduddin Owaisi on Saturday accused Pakistan for the Pulwama terror attack

The All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen (AIMIM) president Asaduddin Owaisi on Saturday accused Pakistan for the Pulwama terror attack. Owaisi said the JeM chief Maulana Masood Azhar was not a "Jaish-e-Mohammed" (The Prophet), but a "Jaish-e-Shaitan" (The Devil). "This attack has links to Pakistan. It was done as per plan of Pakistan government, Pakistan Army and ISI. I would like to tell the outfit that killed our 40 men and claimed its responsibility - you are not Jaish-e-Mohammed, you are Jaish-e-Shayateen,” Owaisi said.

“A soldier of Mohammed does not kill a person, he is merciful towards humanity. You are Jaish-e-Shayateen, Jaish-e-Iblis. Masood Azhar, you are not a Maulana, you are a disciple of the devil. It is not Laskhar-e-Taiba, it is Lashkar-e-Shayateen,” he said.

Asking Pakistan Prime Minister to stop pleading innocence, Owaisi said, “We would like to tell Pakistan PM don't give that message to India which you want to, by sitting before a TV camera. You started this, it wasn't the first attack. There was Pathankot, Uri and now Pulwama. We would like to tell Pakistan Prime Minister to drop his mask of innocence.”

Earlier, PM Imran Khan accused New Delhi of blaming Islamabad without any evidence. “In case India wants, we are ready to join any kind of investigation in Pulwama terror attack. Pakistan is the worst victim of terrorism. If military power didn't work till date in Kashmir, how will it work in the future,” he said. However, he also said that if India wants a war, Pakistan will have no option but to retaliate, but what will war give us.

At least 42 CRPF personnel were killed in one of the deadliest terror attacks when a Jaish suicide bomber rammed a vehicle carrying over 80 kg of explosives into their bus in Pulwama district that also left many critically wounded. More than 2,500 Central Reserve Police Force personnel, many of them returning from leave to rejoin duty in the Valley, were travelling in the convoy of 78 vehicles when they were ambushed on the Srinagar-Jammu highway at Latoomode in Awantipora in south Kashmir.
