The entire nation is mourning the loss of CRPF jawans killed in Pulwama terror attack on February 14. As many as 42 CRPF jawans were killed and dozens of others injured after a car with 350 kg of explosives hit a bus carrying the personnel in Jammu and Kashmir's Pulwama district on Thursday.
From the government to celebrities to commoners, many people have come forward to provide monetary and other assistance to the families of these bravehearts. You can also contribute through the government recognised 'Bharat Ke Veer' platform using SBI’s internet banking or UPI.
Here’s how you can donate online to Bharat Ke Veer website:
Step 1: You can visit the website bharatkeveer.gov.in to donate directly to Bharat Ke Veer corpus.
Step 2: Alternatively, you can use SBI’s internet banking or UPI to contribute.
Step 3: Donations made through SBI gets credited to Bharat Ke Veer corpus and the disbursed to the families of CRPF personnel accordingly.
Step 4: For existing SBI customers, there is a direct option to donate to Bharat Ke Veer initiative. Login to your SBI net banking account. Then click on Payments and Transfers tab. Click on donations under ‘Other payments’ section. In this, select Bharat Ke Veer from the drop-down menu. Fill in your details such as name and address. Pay the amount you wish to donate.
Step 5: Non-SBI internet banking users need to add ‘Bharat Ke Veer’ as beneficiary. Here are the details: Name of account- Bharat Ke Veer, Account number- 36724508925, Branch- New Delhi main branch (0691), IFSC code- SBIN0000691.
Step 6: People can also donate money using bharatkeveer@sbi as the UPI ID or VPA.
Step 7: You can use Paytm app to contribute as well. There is a payments tab called CRPF bravehearts on the app to make direct donations.
Step 8: You can donate any amount to Bharat Ke Veer, but the maximum limit is set to Rs 15 lakh. All donations are exempted from Income Tax.
Step 9: Bharat Ke Veer initiative covers all seven Central Armed Police Force units and National Disaster Response Force soldiers.
