Punjab and Haryana High Court asks IT dept, ED to conduct probe into assets related to Gurmeet Singh

Punjab and Haryana High Court on Wednesday ordered the Income Tax department and the Enforcement Directorate to conduct probe in moveable and immovable properties relating to Dera sacha Sauda chief Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singh.

The high court asked the court commissioner, who searched all the premises of Dera chief, to supply a copy of the report to the Centre.

The court also ordered that two tribunals will be constituted, one for Punjab, other for Haryana.

These tribunals will examine if the claims made by people are genuine, and then they will be entitled for the amount, the court said.
