The politically crucial assembly election will be held on February 4 across the 117 constituencies in Punjab. The Election Commission has decided to conduct the polls in single-phase.

Chief election commissioner Nasim Zaidi told reporters that the vote counting for the Punjab polls will be held on March 11.

Punjab may witness an interesting contest between the ruling SAD-BJP coalition and their main rival party Congress. However, the Aam Aadmi Party too may stamp its mark on the political arena of the state.
