The Punjab government transferred 42 police officers on Saturday night, including 30 IPS officers with immediate effect.
An official spokesman said DGP G D Pandey has been given the charge of the DGP Punjab State Human Rights Commission replacing another DGP-rank officer, Mohd Mustafa.
Mustafa has been posted as the DGP-cum-Commandant General, Punjab Home Guards and the Director, Civil Defense Punjab, the spokesman said.
Mustafa is husband of Punjab minister and Congress MLA from Malerkotla, Razia Sultana.
ADGP rank officer Jasminder Singh has been posted as the DGP Railways while S Chattopadhyaya has been posted as the DGP HRD.
CSR Reddy has been posted as the ADGP Investigation and Lokpal Punjab while V K Bhawra has been posted as the ADGP Provisioning & Modernisation.
IPS Sahota, who is holding the charge of the Director Bureau of Investigations, has been posted as the ADGP IVC & Human Rights while Prabodh Kumar has been posted as the Director Bureau of Investigations.
Sharad Chauhan has been posted as the ADGP Policy and Rules while Rakesh Chandra has been posted as the ADGP SPU.
Among IG rank officer, M S Chhina has been posted as the IGP Bathinda Zone while Varinder Kumar has been posted as the IG Intelligence.
R K Jaiswal has been given the charge of the IGP Crime while Praveen Kumar has been posted as the Commissioner of Police Jalandhar.
Arpit Shukla has been posted as the IGP Zone II Jalandhar while L K Yadav has been posted as the IGP Training Armed Battalions, Jalandhar.
Naresh Kumar has been posted as the IGP Cyber Crime & Intelligence while M F Farooqui has been posted as the IGP Crime.
Amar Singh Chahal has been posted as the IGP IRB Patiala and Sukhchain Gill has been given the charge of the DIG IT & T.
Among SSPs, Swapan Sharma has been posted as the AIG Counter Intelligence while Naveen Singla has been made the SSP Bathinda. Inderbir Singh, who is the SSP of Sangrur, has been posted as the AIG Personnel. Mandeep Singh, a PPS officer, has been posted as the SSP Sangrur.
Satinder Singh and Navjot Mahal have been made SSPs of SBS Nagar and Khanna respectively, the spokesman said.
