Targeting Chief Minister Charanjit Singh Channi and Congress, Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) Punjab chief ministerial candidate Bhagwant Mann, without naming anyone, said that no matter how much drama the poor and common man do, people of Punjab are not going to elect corrupt and mafia leaders this time. He said Punjab needs an honest government, not a mafia government. Therefore, the people of Punjab will choose good and honest people to power.
Bhagwant Mann, on Thursday, was on a visit of several assembly constituencies in Tarn Taran district, where he campaigned for AAP candidates Sarwan Singh Dhun, from Khemkaran, Laljit Singh Bhullar from patti and Manjinder Singh Lalpura from Khadoor Sahib. He appealed to people to vote for AAP candidates. There was great enthusiasm among the people for Mann. People welcomed Mann with garlands and showering flowers, and wished him grand victory. Along with AAP candidates, Mann was accompanied by various state and local leaders of the party.
While addressing people, Mann said Corruption and Mafia are the roots of every problem of Punjab. Leaders of traditional parties have looted the state and filled their treasure with public money. Mann said that the common people are becoming poor, but these leaders' wealth is increasing day by day. To save Punjab, we must eradicate corruption from the state and throw out these Mafia leaders from power.
Mann said due to the collusion of leaders, and drug mafia, Chitta (semi-synthetic opioids) is found everywhere in Punjab. There is no fear of the Police and administration among drug dealers as they have political protection. Drug Mafia and leaders together have ruined the youth of Punjab by trapping them in the swamp of drugs. We will break this nexus and eliminate the mafia from Punjab. We will save the youth of Punjab and give them better education and employment.
Mann said that people of Punjab have been fed up with the corruption of traditional parties. No work can be done in government offices without giving money (bribe). Even after giving money, work can’t be done on time. The Aam Aadmi Party will change the entire corrupt system of government offices and make it a place of common people, instead of a cash collecting center for bribes. Mann assured that the AAP government will wipe out the mafia from Punjab and solve the people’s problems
