Punjab BJP chief Vijay Sampla has denied sending resignation to the party high command over the differences on the ticket distribution for the upcoming assembly elections in the state. 

There were reports that Sampla had offered to quit the post accusing the party leadership of not paying heed to his suggestions in the ticket distribution for the upcoming assembly elections

Sampla met senior BJP leaders in Delhi on Tuesday in this regard.

Sources said that Sampla met BJP president Amit Shah in Delhi but his resignation was not accepted.

However, Sampla later denied that he had any plans to quit and he had gone to meet senior leaders in connection with some important work.
