Punjab: Train rams into truck in Fazilka; 1 killed

A train coming from Ludhiana rammed into a truck at a railway crossing in Fazilka on Sunday morning, killing the train driver on the spot.

The truck was loaded with concrete mixture.

All the passengers were reportedly escaped unhurt except the driver Vikas (30) who died on the spot.

The 74971 no. train hit the truck near Bahmniwala village in Punjab’s Sangrur. The village is nearly 25 km away from the Fazilka-Ferozepur rail track.

The impact of the collision was so bad that the truck stuck into the train’s engine.

The investigation is under process as the truck driver fled from the spot after the incident.
