PM Modi took social messaging site twitter to convey that the changes would make India the most open economy in the world for FDI and provide a major impetus to employment and job creation. He also said the new policies will benefit the economy of the country.

Radical changes in FDI will boost employment: PM Modi

Launching the second set of liberalisation of the foreign direct investment, the Narendra Modi government relaxed the norms in host of sectors including defence, civil aviation, pharmaceuticals, single brand retail trade (SBTR), e-commerce in food products, broadcasting carriage services, private security agencies and animal husbandry.

PM Modi took social messaging site twitter to convey that the changes would make India "the most open economy in the world for FDI" and provide a "major impetus to employment and job creation. He also said the new policies will benefit the economy of the country.  

 The last set of major FDI reforms were announced by this government in November 2015.
