Congress Vice President Rahul Gandhi on Saturday alleged that the attack on his convoy was carried out by people from BJP and this is PM Modi's way of politics.

Rahul hitting out at BJP and RSS for not condemning the attack said, "a big stone was hurled at him that hit my PSO, why would they condemn when it was carried out by them."

He said, “What can one say, this is the way PM Modi and BJP-RSS do politics.”

Earlier on Friday, Congress vice president Rahul Gandhi's car was pelted with stones during his visit to this flood-affected town but he escaped unhurt.

Reacting to the attack, Congress leader Abhishek Manu Singhvi asked, “Are we reaching a space in our democracy where political opponents are not going to be allowed to practice democratic politics?”

BJP playing down the attack on Rahul Gandhi termed his visit to flood hit areas in Gujarat a “Photo opportunity.”

“For God's sake, don't call people goons. Don't call public of this country as rowdy elements, people who are suffering from floods, people who are tired of this kind of politics that Rahul Gandhi and his party are doing. Let's respect people's emotions,” BJP spokesperson Sambit Patra said.
