Shiv Sena, an ally of Bhartiya Janta Party (BJP) on Thursday said that Congress Vice President Rahul Gandhi is capable of leading the country and added that Modi has faded completely.
During an interaction with a private TV channel where Maharashtra Education Minister and BJP leader Vinod Tawde was also present, Shiv Sena MP Sanjay Raut said, “calling Pappu to Rahul Gandhi is wrong, he is now very much capable of leading the country.”
He said the way Rahul Gandhi is interacting with people in Gujarat and across the country makes it clear that he is now ready to lead the nation.
Raut also spoke on weakened Shiv Sena BJP relations and their alliance. He said, “Our relation with BJP is three decades old. There are times when ideological differences come. Being part of government doesn’t mean being a slave. Governments come and go.”
Speaking about the elections in Gujarat, Raut said, BJP has entire system with them, Gujarat is Amit Shah’s home state. BJP’s victory is certain.
Raut also spoke about the GST. He said the effect of the new tax regime was seen on the roads of Surat and Ahmedabad. After that the government has to make changes.
