As the saffron wave has taken over Uttar Pradesh and Uttarakhand Assembly polls, Congress leader Rahul Gandhi congratulated Prime Minister Narendra Modi over BJP's commendable win in both the states.
The young leader took it to micro-blogging site Twitter to send his best wishes to PM. However, he also made a point that Congress will continue to fight to win people's heart and mind.
In a series of tweets, Gandhi wrote, "I congratulate Shri. Narendra Modi and the BJP on their victory in Uttar Pradesh & Uttarakhand".

Rahul's congratulatory tweets came after the trends displayed BJP's lead at 324 seats in UP nad 57 seats in Uttarakhand.
Soon, PM Narendra Modi also thanked Rahul Gandhi on Twitter and hailed democracy.

Interestingly, Congress too has revived its grip in Punjab post its historical win in the state.
Rahul also congratulated senior leader Amarinder Singh over his win in the Punjab Assembly elections and wrote, "My heartiest congratulations to Capt Amarinder Singh ji & all our party workers who worked tirelessly"

He also thanked the people of Punjab for their immense faith in the party.
Interestingly, Congress has come in power in Punjab after a 10-year hiatus.
Captain Amarinder Singh was in power till 200 after which he was succeeded by Parkash Singh Badal from Shiromani Akali Dal.
