I am ready for debate with Narendra Modi anytime, anywhere: Rahul Gandhi

New Delhi:

Congress president Rahul Gandhi on Tuesday dared Prime Minister Narendra Modi for a debate and said he was ready for debate with the prime minister anytime, anywhere but Modi will not accept the challenge. “I am ready for a debate with Narendra Modi anytime anywhere. Let us talk about Rafale, Anil Ambani and aircrafts worth Rs 1600 crore. He won’t accept this challenge,” Rahul said.

Rahul alleged that the contract for Rafale jets was taken away from Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL) and had been given to ‘friends’ of PM Modi, adding Anil Ambani’s company which got the Rafale contract was formed only 10 days before the signing of the contract.

Addressing a rally in Hyderabad, Rahul alleged that PM Modi couldn’t answer his questions in the Parliament.

“I understand when you are corrupt you have to remain silent. At least he should talk about the increasing atrocities on women,” Rahul said.

The Congress president also alleged that dreams of the people of Telangana remain unfulfilled.

“I remember all those who lost their lives during the Telangana movement. However, after the formation of Telangana, dreams of the people remain unfulfilled,” Rahul said.

Rahul continued his attack against Modi and Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao, alleging there was neither any notification nor recruitment to fill the vacant positions in government jobs.

“CM said that 1 lakh govt positions are vacant. But neither is there any notification nor recruitment to fill the vacant positions.”

“The farmers were promised fair price both by Telangana CM and the PM. They would give lakhs of crores of rupees to big industrialists, but nothing to the farmers,” Rahul alleged.

The Congress president urged the youth of Telangana to join the Congress party and assured to fulfill their dreams.

“The youth of Telangana can’t see a bright future. They need jobs and the Congress party can help you by creating jobs. I invite the youth of Telangana to join the Congress party. Together we can fulfill your dreams. If Congress party comes to power, the voices of the people of Telangana will be heard,” Rahul added.
