Congress President Rahul Gandhi is on a two-day tour of poll-bound Madhya Pradesh. On Friday, the Congress President will travel to Baron, Baikundpur, Chumari and Bhopal and hold corner meetings. He will leave for Allahabad in the evening. Rahul Gandhi commenced his tour of the state on Thursday by offering prayers at the famous Kamtanath Temple in Chitrakoot following which he addressed a rally in Satna.

The Kamtanath temple is located in the forested hills of Kamadgiri where, according to mythology, Lord Rama stayed during his exile. The 48-year-old Amethi MP was accompanied by Madhya Pradesh Congress chief Kamal Nath, state party campaign committee chairman Jyotiraditya Scindia and Leader of Opposition in the Madhya Pradesh Assembly Ajay Singh.

Later during the day, he held a massive roadshow at Rewa. This is Rahul Gandhi’s second visit within a span of 10 days to the BJP-ruled state, where Assembly elections are due at the end of this year.
